Why SPF and DKIM Matter
Mailbox providers use authentication signals to decide whether a sender is legitimate. SPF and DKIM do not guarantee inbox placement, but missing or broken records can prevent delivery or damage domain reputation.
SPF
SPF tells receiving servers which mail systems can send for your domain. When Mailtarget sends for your domain, the SPF record must include Mailtarget's sending infrastructure.
DKIM
DKIM adds a cryptographic signature to each message. Receivers verify that signature against a public key in DNS.
DMARC alignment
DMARC ties SPF and DKIM to the visible From domain. Production domains should move toward a DMARC policy once all legitimate senders are aligned.
