Dark-mode clients can invert colors, change backgrounds, and make images or text hard to read.

Checks​

  • Test HTML in major mail clients.
  • Avoid text baked into images.
  • Use sufficient contrast.
  • Set fallback background and text colors.
  • Keep a plain-text body.

Rendering quality does not directly authenticate mail, but unreadable content can reduce engagement signals.
