Workflow Triggers
A trigger decides when a contact enters an automation flow. Pick a trigger that represents a real customer moment.
Common triggers
| Trigger | Use |
|---|---|
| Form submission | Welcome series, gated content delivery, event registration follow-up. |
| Segment match | Re-engagement, lifecycle movement, high-value customer messaging. |
| Label added | Campaign-specific follow-up or operational grouping. |
| Event action | Event confirmation, reminder, and post-event nurture. |
| Field update | Plan change, interest update, location change, or sales stage movement. |
Trigger hygiene
- Make the trigger specific enough to avoid accidental entry.
- Decide whether contacts may enter once or many times.
- Add an exit condition before launching broad lifecycle flows.
- Test with a small controlled audience first.
